Two Month Pictures
Our baby boy is already two months old! We have had such a whirlwind of activity since he arrived! Things are starting to settle down...starting. He is sleeping about five hours at a time at night. We had a well check and he is already 10 lbs 14 oz and 24 inches long! He is in the 25th percentile in weight and in the 90th percentile for height! Go figure that his two shorty parents have such a tall baby!
Bryce's Blessing Day
Bryce Clark Harshbarger received his name and blessing September 13th, 2009. What an exciting day. President Carrie Penrod, Joel McGloughlin, Jim Roberson, Matt Rasmussen, and Bruce Jacobs stood in the circle. He was blessed to be healthy throught his life, told to follow the example of his parents and his siblings, and that he would grow in knowledge of the gospel throught his life and instructed to share it with every one he meets. He cried through almost the entire blessing!
Apple Picking
Sept 19th 2009: We went to pick apples at Conte's Farm in Tabernacle, NJ about a hour from our house. What a fun time! We rode a tractor to the apple orchard and the kids picked about 10 pounds of yummy apples. We have been enjoying the fresh apples with carmel dip for a couple of weeks since. We will be sure to go again.

Bryce Clark
I feel like a bad Mom, but I really wanted to get some good professional pics of Bryce to make nice announcements...so we ventured to the mall and had his pictures done. They turned out so well that we nearly went broke buying all the great ones that we loved. They really know how to get you to spend money. How can you not buy them when they are so darn cute?

Bryce's Draumatic Arrival
Well we finally "coaxed" little Bryce in to the world. He was due on July 19th and since he still had not come on July 26th, so the doctor decided to induce me. I went into the hospital on the night of July 26th, and started the long induction process. The Cervadil was administered aout 7:00 pm and I started to have regular contractions. Earl had to be at home with the children, so my dear friend Michelle was with me at the hosptial. I called Earl late that night and told him that I was having regular contractions, and that he needed to be on alert to come fast if I called him. Bryce had other plans.
The night became morning, and still no baby. The doctor started a Pitocin IV, and I started to get uncomfortable really fast. I decided to get the epidural which I had hoped not to need, but I just was in too much pain. After being checked several times I still made no progress, so at about 6:30 pm the doctor came back and delivered the much dreaded news. We had to have a c-secion. Bryce's heart rate was dipping during the contractions, so we had no choice.
I was scared to death. I did not want a c-section at all since I had to start lifting Dylan as soon as possible since Earl had to get back to work. We'll have to work that out later.
Bryce came into the world at 6:59 pm and weighed 7lbs 10 oz and was 21 inches long. He was so perfect. He was so worth the wait!

Happy 6th Birthday Dylan!
Dylan had his 6th birthday on July 5th. He had a blast in Georgia with his Nana and the entire family. What a fun day! We have tons to celebrate every year that we are blessed to have sweet Dylan in our lives. He is making great progress toward recovery from his brain injury. What a blessing his sweet smile is in our home! We love you Dylan!!!

Hailey's 5th B-Day
Our spunky Hailey had her 5th birthday on Saturday June 6th. She had a house full of happy friends for her party. What a nut house! Nine squealing five year olds...wow! Hailey got so many sweet and thoughtful gifts from her friends and family. Her big gift was a new bike. She has already put lots of mileage on her new bike and has had a blast with all of her great gifts.

The Circus
The Ringling Brothers Circus was in Trenton, NJ just down the road from our house, so we ventured to the arena for the show. The kids had a great time. Dylan loved all of the lights and music and seemed to love every act more that the last. Hailey was super excited about the tigers and watched without blinking the entire act. Hailey even had her picture taken with one of the girls in the show. Mom loved the elephants the most...maybe since I have felt like one these days.
Much requested pregnancy pics...
I know that all of my far away friends and family have been asking for months to see pregnancy pictures of me...and I was really being honest when I told them that I was not showing at all. Just recently (around the end of my sixth month) I finally started to look a little pregnant. I was actually really tickled when the lady at Wal-Mart noticed that I was pregnant when she was checking me out at the register. It may have been also that I was buying some baby things...but I was still flattered that she noticed. These pictures were taken on May 30th and I am almost 33 weeks pregnant. The baby is doing great and I am just starting to waddle, so we are well on our way to having our baby on or about July 19th.

Hailey's First Sailing Trip
We were elated when a friend from our branch invited Earl and Hailey to go out on his sailing boat on Friday. Hailey had not ever been on a boat before and since we now own one (it's in the shop right now) we thought that this would be a good start for Hailey to get used to the water. Hailey needs to get used to the water so that she can have fun when we go out on our faster boat later in the summer. Earl is looking for a really tiny life jacket for the new baby, but I say that if they don't make them then that is a really good reason not to take the new baby out on the boat until at least next year! Brother Roberson took Earl and Hailey out on Barnegat Bay near our house. They had a short little trip, but had tons of fun. Hailey was afraid at first, but settled in pretty quickly.
