We were elated when a friend from our branch invited Earl and Hailey to go out on his sailing boat on Friday. Hailey had not ever been on a boat before and since we now own one (it's in the shop right now) we thought that this would be a good start for Hailey to get used to the water. Hailey needs to get used to the water so that she can have fun when we go out on our faster boat later in the summer. Earl is looking for a really tiny life jacket for the new baby, but I say that if they don't make them then that is a really good reason not to take the new baby out on the boat until at least next year! Brother Roberson took Earl and Hailey out on Barnegat Bay near our house. They had a short little trip, but had tons of fun. Hailey was afraid at first, but settled in pretty quickly.

ReplyDeleteHey, Josh had his first ride on a speed boat on Lake Lanier when he was about 4 months old. So they do make tiny life jackets. In fact he only liked it if the boat was moving fast with skiers behind it. Boating is a lot of fun. I'll have to visit every summer. Cherene
